The first and second floors of this disjointed split level were completely reconfigured.  The second floor walls and roof were rebuilt which transformed the existing claustrophobic attic-like spaces.  A modern large kitchen addition on the rear of the house provides an anchor for an energetic interior layout.

A whole house transformation can be dynamic and meaningful in more then one way.  The "Good Bones" of a home provides the framework from which the new work breaks away.       

A compliment of warm and cool tones contrast sharply with the devastatingly stark original kitchen.  The small kitchen footprint required a subtle shift of the elements, including a wider opening to the dining room, making the new layout feel and function like a larger brighter space.
